Social freezing in Berlin - the right time

A woman's biological clock is ticking! The right time for social freezing (preventive egg freezing) is therefore a decisive factor for the chances of success. While fertility is still very high in the twenties, it decreases noticeably from the mid-thirties onwards. From the age of 40, the chances of a natural pregnancy are greatly reduced, which is mainly due to the declining quality of the eggs.

Medical associations therefore recommend considering social freezing (preventive egg freezing) as early as possible. It makes particular sense to consider cryopreservation when a woman is between 25 and 35 years old. At this age, both the number and quality of eggs are optimal, which has a positive effect on the chances of success of artificial insemination later on.

However, personal factors also play a role. If you have a busy career, are in a phase of self-realisation or do not currently have a partner, social freezing (preventive egg freezing) can take a lot of pressure off you. It not only offers a plan B, but also gives many women the reassuring feeling of being able to organise their family planning in a self-determined way without being at the mercy of the pressure of the biological clock.
